  • Mariana says:

Wow! What an eye opener was the information from this panel. Peak performance is all about discipline and honouring my word. Thanks!

  • Glenn Byers says:

While the predominant theme of this League Panel 4 discussion relates to hiring talent, it serves to illuminate – for entrepreneurs and managers alike – the importance of applying time in accordance with ‘highest and best use.’ From hiring practices to the existence of a mission statement, the issues discussed exemplify the importance of working ON the business as opposed to working IN the business. Through modeling of successful concepts such as mentioned herein, the design of a business can leverage knowledge towards systematic positive transformation that increases its prospects of viability, health and longevity.

While certain concepts may be deemed to be advanced, they are nonetheless presented in a manner that makes them readily useful to a business at virtually any stage of its development. Whether a captain of industry or an aspiring entrepreneur planning a first venture, you would do well to expose yourself to these great thinkers. Furthermore, the perspectives offered by Jay and Rich subsequent to each panel session are a real treat – essentially executive summaries that add clarity and value to each.

  • Boyana says:

Even though i am not still a business owner myself, i hope to use the knowledge i got on this panel in the future. more importantly, i am learning how to BE a great and irreplaceable resource for my employers.

  • Shireen says:

I am astounded as I have been after each of your Panel discussions. I think it its amazing that Jay and Rich have brought these incredible minds to us at no charge. What you have done for business (in my case small business) is priceless. You and your panels have given guidance and mentoring that I could not have received anywhere else.

My thanks to all of the people concerned in these sessions, but especially to Jay and Rich.

  • Indu says:

advise from the experts has directed me to focus on key aspects that are imperative for me to address – thank you.

  • Man what a great group of minds.
    Sharing so freely.
    Thanks so much

  • Frank says:

    Pure inspiration, thanks

  • Claudette says:

I can’t thank you enough. The information is priceless and greatly appreciated, knowing what to avoid and what works will save me so much time and headaches as I start to grow my company. I will be typing up all my notes to keep in a notebook for constant referral.
    Keep up the good work.

  • Absolutely priceless information. What an honour to listen to so many skilled and successful people addressing real issues. Thanks very much!

  • John Brodeur says:

HI, to get access to these type of advice from these top business leader would require me to read and attend multiple seminar, Rich & Jay Thanks you to allow me to share insight of these great minds in the comfort of my home.
    John

  • Again, absolutely excellent. The breadth and depth of the information and insight is excellent. It gives me a fresh new perspective and helps cut through my “forest” and grow in the right direction. The members of the panel are always top caliber and really add value to the whole thinking process.

    Great Value!!!

  • Linda says:

Congratulations! The content is not only interesting but very insightful as well, delivered by a group of extremely credible panelists. If a business owner/entrepreneur could implement only 10%-20% of the information that was revealed, they would be so much further ahead in their business development. Sadly, many entrepreneurs have not learned to “get out of their own way” in order for things to really develop.

  • Renee says:

Thank-you Jay and Rich for the service you’re giving us! Every business owner should be listening to every one of these panels!
Mind-expanding, challenging, invaluable 3+ hours spent (to stop the recording and take notes as fast as I could)! I’m becoming more aware of how valuable my time is as business owner. The ideas presented will help me optimize my time as I utilize them. They opened my eyes to the many changes I need to make as a business owner to make mine more successful. I also learned what I’m doing right already.
The most important concepts I learned from this experienced panel include:
    1) The entrepreneur is the Chief Dreamer, developing the Vision/Mission/Purpose/Goals and imagining what’s possible, constantly creating innovations, and then leading the business to achieve them. The business can grow only as far as the owner is willing to change and grow and imagine and innovate;
    2)how vital it is to attract top business-oriented people to help you run a great business, marketing the positions with a WIIFM emphasis to attract the best people with their opportunity to grow in your company;
    3) it is counter-productive to try to do it all yourself;
    4) being outward-centric, focusing on the Culture of your business for the benefit of your employees and clients/customers, providing a product/service that transforms their lives and transforms our community and/or world for the better;
    5) planning adequately and developing all the systems necessary to have a business that is able to provide the product/
service the company offers and taking consistent and quick step by step action toward your company Vision/ Mission/ purpose/ goals; 6) planning for all possible contingencies, taking pro-active action (and not reactive) concerning the inevitable changes that occur as a business grows and the economy/ culture changes.
    7) keeping the main thing (what you offer) the Main Thing and saving yourself alot of wasted time by saying “No” to all other opportunities, remembering that you’ll get even more opportunities as you’re more successful (exercise that “NO!” muscle NOW!).

  • Hilary says:

    1. Why do you feel it was a great decision for you to join the League of Extraordinary Minds? exposure to great minds / experts as well as interpretation by two more very fine minds :)

    2. What are the 3 biggest benefits you got from this one panel interview? a. “the sudden realization [by the entrepreneur that he's] thinking too small” confirms what I’ve felt and have been doing for years: thinking in terms of huge. b. substantiates the value of passion-driven companies. c. surrounding myself w people stronger than I am and take my ego out of it.

    3. How will the information you got from this panel improve your business, income, or life? a. It already has because although I’ve been planning for ages, I’m still stuck on getting the first product out. This particular panel truly got me for the first time into the managerial / leader mindset and to start thinking ahead. b. There are so many mistakes I WON’T make thanks to this info. c. It was like getting several years’ worth of consultation in 2 1/2 hours.

    4. Over the next 12 months, how much additional income do you think the League of Extraordinary Minds will be worth to you? Thousands if not hundreds of thousands; I will hire A performers and my company will be more successful; I will constantly seek to improve and be creatively paranoid (and I’m already both ;)

    5. What would you say to a friend who was thinking of joining the League of Extraordinary Minds, but wasn’t sure? I would strongly strongly encourage him/her not to pass up such an excellent opportunity.

Here’s what I composed after only a few minutes into the panel:
    Hi gentlemen!

I have been planning my empire – including publishing and educational divisions, a fashion line and tv network for years and am just starting to implement my plans.

As a single mom squeaking by on tv/video and other temp jobs, I cannot even afford to get the mp3s, so make it a point to listen to these webcasts whenever I can and take furious notes (and a BIG round of apprecation to you for extending this one until Sunday night at midnight!)!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this abso-LUTE-ly invaluable information!!! The great thing is having the opportunity to learn all of it before going out and making the errors! – Hilary Kane

  • Dot says:

Have a plan. Believe that you don’t have to do everything yourself. Know the true meaning for what you are doing and believe that in fulfilling that, your business will grow. What a reminder that plateaus naturally occur and be willing to make the changes necessary to start the growth going again. Remember that saying “no” to lesser things will take you forward. Thanks so much.

  • John says:

Learning from the best minds in business from so many different perspectives certainly makes learning so much clearer!
I got so many points on the DOs, DON’Ts and ACTIONs that I need to focus and take, now and in the future.
Getting the focus on the right things is so important in getting the balance in business and life, which is something we can easily stray away from in our daily activities.
For those who are not sure about joining, just join in and then decide if it’s good for you.

  • Roger Marr says:

As someone just starting a new business this panel gave me lots of insight on things I can work on inside my business. I really appreciated the ideas on recruiting new hires. This is going to help me with finding the best people to work with both inside my company and with any outsourcing I will also need.

  • Terrill says:

I’ve learned from this panel that I need to change the focus of my business from growth to fulfilling the true meaning of the business. Growth will follow automatically when you do this one change in mindset. Thanks, for these panel discussions Jay and Rich.

  • Greg R W says:

Once again you have over delivered. I will be able to put a grocery list of points from this session to work in my endeavors. They will be invaluable when it comes time to expand or even start new projects. Two more areas of help will be in choosing JV partners and outsourceing. Thanks for the great information,
    Greg

  • Thank you Jay and Rich for considering me in your list.

The League of Extraordinary Minds, really enlarges ones mind as to the many facets of a business system that must be address, whether a small or extremely large business.
The only differences between the small versus the large, is the numbers of subsystems that must be addressed.

  • Mick says:

Good, actionable input from some great panelists giving information that we could apply today already.

    Thanks again, Jay, Rich.

  • This series gets you to think “Big”. Even more critical – It gets you to think Effectively from a business savvy sense. I heartly recommend that you listen, learn and take notes. Even more importantly – Take action from those insights.

  • Frank Angus says:

Again these webcasts prove extremely helpful. I particularly enjoyed this webcast and the insight I gained from the simple comment that like real estate where location, location, location is the most important thing in entrepreneurship it is planning, planning and planning. In particular you must review data more than rely on opinion.

  • Dalila says:

Thank you so much for such valuable insight. Every entrepreneur should listen this seminar. We must be aware of the changes we are experimenting as a planet. Barriers can be broken, internet is helping with this transition to a higher consciousness. We must incorporate our true mission to our daily jobs, to really be succesful and attract the business of our dreams. We need to make quantum jumps to evolve and make humanity ascend. THANKS AGAIN FOR SHARING GREAT INSIGHTS TO PREPARE OURSELVES FOR THE FUTURE. -Dalila

  • Dwayne says:

I am starting a new business and am astounded at the waelth of knowledge your panels have imparetd to us so far. The ideas of putting employess and customers first is brilliant. These ideas will help me to hire and retain top notch talent and it gives us all so many different experts to connect to and learn from. This information will be the difference to a mediocre business, relationship or life or one that is rich and successful and fulfilling beyond what can be imagined today. I’m not sure the value can be measured correctly, but I’m going to start in the millions for the business I’m launching. Don’t even hesitate to hear this. Know you can’t possibly know it all and just sign up.Like the man said,” Grow or Die” Rich and Jay, Thank you once more!!!!

  • Robert says:

    Gentlemen,
Thank you for making this seminar available all weekend – I would have missed it otherwise. Much appreciated. You and your associates have delivered yet another remarkable collection of immensely valuable insights. These presentations are so inspirational to me that I am recommending them to every entrepreneur I know. Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity!

  • mike says:

    Inspirational to all entrepreneurs!
    Thanks

  • OK, now I am ripen enough to leave some impressions.

But first let me to introduce myself.

I am a life coach for Russian women (I call it “the first step coaching”). Just a few days ago I started a new blog for international families with Russian wives (I will highly appreciate if receive any comments on it).

Last year I won Rich’s Business Acceleration Program and have worked with that since then. Of course (:-)) in some ways I am more successful than many my colleagues because I move faster.

So, this is the time to move my business on the entire new level. That’s why I am here and listen to the Panel with great attention.

For me it is very important not just WHAT they say but also HOW they think and how they talk. What kind of personality they perform.

Oh, yes, I have had a lot. And I do want the transcriptions to read and to work with. But I do not buy them…

I do not buy them because I am offered a free month of membership in something I am not sure I really want. And actually this is not a problem. The problem is I should keep in mind when this month is expired to cancel the membership I do not want or I would be charged.

Guys, I am so tired of this and I really do have something different in mind to remember all these things and play this game.

I would agree if I received some kind of reminding before the expiration date with the link to make a decision.

I think this simple step would be much more respectful and bring you much more customers and followers.

    Anyway –

Thank you for you great job and all the opportunities you give us to grow.

  • h says:

    >:-p for forcing a comment in order to grt rid of the box and access the recording buttons!

  • Gbemi A says:

This session is mind blowing. I have picked such great ideas and advice on how to move and grow my business. The key factors are sourcing talents and keeping the talent bar high, knowing who you are and understanding the core value of the business and how to connect with your customers. I would definately recommend the LoEM to anyone who is running their business or thinking about starting their business.

  • 1. My online business is not even launched yet. I’m starting from grass roots and have little knowledge of running a business of my own, or even setting up a web site.
I’m finding the LoEM sessions inspiring and use them as a point of referrence to work from.
    2. Panel 4 has made me think about; a) where I want to wind up – I had the vision and love doing the work but, because the whole business is still so new, I hadn’t thought about any future yet. Now I realize I’m fortunate because by keeping in mind where I want to end up, I know my foundations need to be well laid. b) Things have taken longer to set up for me because of my ignorance. The knowing when to say NO and keeping focused on what “I” want to achieve has come as a long lesson for me and is invaluable advice. c) Keeping my customers and their needs in mind during decision-making resonates with my intention.
    3. This panel inspires me to keep moving forward, which can only benefit my business. Obviously a successful business will have a positive effect on my income and lead to a much improved lifestyle.
    4. I have no idea but I will certainly be in a position to do more marketing once my site is up and running, which should be in a few days or weeks.
    5. You’ve got nothing to loose, everything to gain – they’ll give you information you didn’t know you needed. Seriously, do yourself and favour, even if you don’t have a business, you’d benefit from joining the LoEM.

  • Irina says:

Thank you again for this webinar. It looks like I am growing every week with some orders of magnitude in the way I am thinking about the vision of the business.

  • Gbemi Akojenu says:

This is very insightful. Each of the panellist brings a piece of the puzzle giving me a full picture of ensuring success in my business. Many thanks for organising this and I am referring this to other entrepreneurs. Every business person should have this in their library for running a successful business.

  • Chris says:

Once again a fantastic opportunity to listen to the experience of highly successful achievers, shared freely to enhance the minds of those of us reaching toward creating our own businesses.

It was even better this time with the webcast being made available over this weekend to have more than one bite at the fruit of the panel’s efforts.

    Sincere thanks for your gift.

  • John Twohig says:

Hi Guys, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. My wife and I are very thankful for the content of the latest session.Like the last one we are doing an awful lot right but it is wonderful to have it reaffirmed. To listen to these brilliant people and hear that we running our business in a successful manner is huge.We are at times in dispair at the economy in Ireland and the lack of customers coming thru our doors. To know that the actions that we have under took to keep trading are the correct ones is a relief and we can stop blameing ourselves and having self doubt.Onwards and upwards. Christine and John

  • Mike Edwards says:

Thank you for a great discussion with your luminary panel. It is like hearing the answers from the best in the world which we were. Thank you for helping everyone to be better at what we do.

    Mike

  • Radu C. says:

Getting to the top requires talent, dedication, data… and for me the opportunity to listen to people that have proven methods to achieve success. Great information in large volumes, LOEM is unique, the most valuable resource available today. I intend to make this resource available to more people, so that the outcome is greater and the change – the improvement – works faster. LOEM is the only lace I know of where so much knowledge is shared for the benefit of the common entrepreneur – not just millionaires!

  • Tim says:

Any information program involving Jay Abraham is likely to be of great value by virtue of Jay’s association with it alone. This panel interview will help me as both an employee and a prospective employer. I believe what I learned from this session will help me to double my income during the next year. I would tell anyone I know that this program will help them leapfrog forward in their careers.

  • Levi says:

    Sirs Jay and Rich,

Greetings. My apologies but I could not get into the webcast Thursday, 19th November. When I click on the link on the email sent to me, it kept showing the Session 3 Webcast. I was excited about the session so I was at my computer 730 (Our local time). I tried it until almost 930 when I finally gave up.

    Levi

  • Joy says:

    I absolutely love this program…
and I full intend to recommend it to everyone I know who has the
slightest desire to become a bigger and better business person.
I feel as if I have been given a secret window into a mastermind

the dynamics of my business mind.

The content from the guys (and gal) on the panel exceeded my expectations. These folks are the cream of the crop. Jay and Rich, great job putting this together, facilitating and then summarizing at the end. Many Thanks!

  • Harold says:

    Great stuff.
I learned to focus on one thing at a time and not spread my time and energy into to many things at one time.

  • keith says:

Just managed to connect to the 4th panel… after 2 days trying!!!

The introduction sounds good… I’m sure the wait will have been worth it.

  • mark says:

    Fantastic Information as always!

I was reading some of the comments, and one of them said, “There is free and then there is extraordinary minds free.” I agree completely!

The information packed in on the call is tremendous.

Thank you so much for providing us with your “extraordinary” insights!

  • Rosemary says:

Unfortunately, I am unable to put most of this excellent information into practice. I have a website that is primarily controlled by the webmaster running it. I have the ability to place products on the website but that is my only control. I found this very interesting because some of the thoughts I have had about hiring practices and the use of performance evaluations seems to bear true. Also, this resource gives the opportunity to truly evaluate your business and gives a great deal information to rectify problems that exist. Keep up the good work.

  • Kenneth says:

Thank You for the excellent webcast. I wish I had this resource before I opened my business 5 years ago. My business has already benefitted from some of the things I have learned from the “League”. This recent webinar has provided some insight I will be using to help take my business to the next level. I encourage anyone in business (on any level) to take advantage of this invaluable program. Thanks Rich and Jay. God bless and best regards.

  • Clayton says:

Excellent information! I especially appreciate Jay’s and Rich’s summary comments at the end which ties everything together and makes it much more action-oriented. Session 4 has great foundational insights for business. It has been fun to start implementing some of these strategies. Thank you Rich and Jay for making this available for free.

  • Paul says:

Jay & Rich, This set of webinars are outstanding and I am challenged every time I listen in… The ‘broad’ set of ‘minds’ that you bring each time is a fantastic concept and one that I should be using on a regular basis in my own businesses… MANY THANKS, Paul.

  • Rafael says:

I want to sincerely thank rich and jay for one of the greatest training that I have ever experience. With this knowledge i know now with all the other training i will go go from poverty to wealth in a small amount of time. I feel so confident. Thanks again. Peace. Rafael

    Absolutely Amazing!

    :::PURE GOLD CONTENT:::

I had to stop half-way through and take a break (seriously). My brain was completely flooded with high octane, actionable and insightful advice, wisdom and profit building action steps that were completely rock solid.

Many are so simple yet so profound and intellectually advanced. You’re sure to “have multiple brain-gasims of “AhhHaaa moments”TM.

Writing notes like a fiend was not optional…It simply just happens about 25 seconds after pressing play.

Rich and Jay get the “Grillers Award” for this one!

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

  • Nick says:

As a small business owner I wouldn’t have been able to access this quality of information because I wouldn’t have had the money or the time.

  • Ryan says:

These are the best webcasts ever! There is nowhere else that you can get all these great minds and successful indivijuals together, and get the best advice for free! Unbelievably good stuff yet again.

  • Wyman Crane, askthewYman says:

My biggest take away was the definition of a entrepreneur owner as “the cheif dreamer”.

The approach to interviewing future business employees was very eye opening. So different than the worthless interviews most employers use.

The one quality of the owner as a master communicator was right on. The highest paid people are master communicators. Speakers, entertainers, top 20% of salespeople, really good teachers, etc.

This series is worth $100 per hour even millions to your future. Thank you so much for making it available to all who can pull themselves away from the boob tube for two hours a week.

This is more info for working with small business owners. I will add it to the passive income course I took from Jay for several thousand dollars and worth every dollar.

  • Thank you for great panel discussion! I must focus, focus, focus! Act quickly upon criticism. Good leaders become great leaders when they have viaion not a mission.

  • Michael M. says:

I’ve been listening, investing in, and following both Jay and Michael
Gerber for more than 20 years. The main takeaway that I got from the
League broadcast was something Michael Gerber said: That is was NOT
    about growth.

It was about passion, being the best and uniquely valuable – then growth would occur naturally, rather than manufactured or forced. These were
not his exact words but it was the message/idea he gave. I thought it
    was profound.

I have not started any business yet but would like to learn more about starting a business. The information of such experts is interesting and I can see the relevance for my employers (past and present). i am filing away all the great ideas away and am sure such knowledge will be useful in some way. Business with a purpose and meaning is great. I am a fan of the way Body Shop runs its business and hope that the ideals of the Body Shop business can be more prevalent everywhere. (This is one of the few I have read about – a business which has such a huge social responsibility element built in and which is so successful). But this world of hugely successful corporate people is still a little remote from me. Thanks for the generous sharing anyway.

  • Messrs Rich and Jay:
I compliment you highly on having a program dedicated to the entrepreneur. You both deserve praise for your efforts. Please keep up the great work!
I only listened to session 4 last night, and feel I lost something in not hearing the previous ones. Incidently your names of Rich and Jay keep reminding me of Rich DeVoss and Jay Van Andel, originators of the Amway Corporation. Now these two were certainly the truest of entrepreneurs.

I enjoyed session 4,took notes of the nuggets, and key points, especially those pertaining to a one man or small organization. There was a lot of focus on hiring and I agree that the suggestions and recommendations were helpful, IF you were part of a large company or had the bucks to pay these specialists . I ask myself, did Bill Gates go out and hire key people? He found dreamers including his secretary that were willing to work with no or little pay,but believed in their and their leaders capabilities and banked their future on their and their leaders talents.Did they prove themselves right? You bet.BIG TIME.
I too often, and I am certain I may be wrong, argue with my academic friends
that theory is great but only after the theory has been proven right with a “hands on” proven application. Why do a lot of academics find difficulty in finding positions? Why do a lot of academics drive old beaten up vehicles and wear clothes that look like they came from the Goodwill bin.

I would like to hear a session based on the small, starting up individul who has a dream, has enthusiasm, has something that the world needs and fire in his/her belly.
I very firmly believe that good people are hard to find, whether it’s in North America or anywhere else in the world.I am involved in establishing a business and/or businesses in the Orient (Vietnam) and the same holds true there. I believe that great employees should be rewarded not necessarily monetarily, but be given part of the “action”, in other words, participate in
the profits of the company, so they feel they have a stake in the organization.

To say that everyone in the company should be a business person sort of puzzles me.They should of course, keep in mind that whatever there position is,they are part of a team whose focus is to create profits . If an entrepreneur understands personalities, there are those who are great technicians, there are those (very few) who are great at marketing, there are those who are good at negotiations, there are those that are great communicators, those good with numbers, etc.People sometimes neglect their own sometimes hidden talents and try to become something else.I call this the cameleon effect. The secret, I believe is teamwork, each individual exhibiting his/her talents towards a common goal, the ultimate success of the business.

I once again thank you Rich and Jay for making available valuable, intellectual, information available to the business person or particularly the entrepreneur. Information from one speaker may not pertain to certain
situations, but I am sure that some other recipient will embrace the wisdom handed down. All speakers were good in their own rights, the one I was most impressed with was Ms. Tam. She was quoting not from theory, but from actual experience. Her suggestions were right “down to earth” and sensible.

Much obliged for having been given the opportunity to participate.

I must say I completely agree with Tsufit. Look exactly who did you guys intend this series for? Your corporate – Wall st. pals or real life entreprenuers! We’re more about needing more marketing and techniques that will help us keep the damn doors open. Most of us are’nt at the corporate pre IPO stages yet.

  • I wouldn’t normally post a review that was anything but glowing, especially on your blog Rich ’cause I’m a huge fan of yours, but I will because you’ve made it clear that you really do want our feedback. I’m sorry to say that I’ve been disappointed with the League sessions so far. (I missed the second one– which I really wanted to hear– but I have heard 1, 3 and 4.)

The talent pool is incredible. I expected that these sessions would be a once in a lifetime experience. And they are, in a way. It’s wonderful to be exposed to so many of the authors and speakers and gurus I’ve admired. It was wonderful to hear Sergio Zyman after devouring his book.

But unfortunately, I find my mind wandering a lot and much of what I hear feels like “corporate-speak” and not terribly relevant to the entrepreneurs that I’m guessing make up the bulk of your audience. Some of it feels canned and not very compelling. In fact with one of the speakers on the first call–I won’t mention names but I’m sure you know who it is, I kept wondering if you were just playing a recording of the guy. He had a script and was determined to read it no matter what you asked him.

As I said Rich, I’m a huge fan of yours. I’ve seen you speak live and online and it was riveting. I will tune in again because I know you are reading these posts and will strive to improve the panel discussions. Perhaps they should be more interactive, although I know that would be logistically challenging.

I do applaud your efforts to bring together this Super Group and will continue to be a devoted fan of your work.

  • michael says:

wasn’t one to fill me with enthusiasm. To be honest I thought it was one for companies who operate with 40 or more employee’s. A smaller company can easily weed out the dead wood. I was looking for something to take me to the next level.

  • I continue to find nuggets in what is discussed, but not so many this time.

I know Jay and Rich are super successful, and they want to help, but they’re asking questions and the guests are answering from the point of view of people with lots of success and experience. What this means to me is that it gets remote from where I’m standing, and the issues I’m facing. It seems more theoretical and less practical, more abstract and less practical and applicable.

It’s as though there’s an expectation we can just jump into the ‘expert mindset’, it’s all so simple, but it took these guys maybe 20 years to understand the principles and things they’re trying to communicate. Maybe I’m a bit dull, but ‘expert talk’ is good for experts, less so for me.

Also, these speakers have such a long list of credentials and such good business pedigree, that it’s rather intimidating. What about some people ‘down at street level’. Perhaps just pick some folk at random from your lists, maybe those who only ever made $100, get then to ask the questions, and have the experts give them advice that’ll actually help them today and tomorrow. I think that way you’ll help a lot more people.

Thanks for your efforts to help, I do appreciate it.

    • I agree with the other comments.
These esteemed individuals could coach the very top exec’s of Fortune 500 companies, and have. Not much scales down to my level of 2 people and an outsourced clerical and technical functions consultancy.
I’ll keep the notes for when we get much bigger and can use the information.
Otherwise aside from some audio issues, you guys are doing a great job with lining up truly knowledgeable individuals for participation.
      Thanks

Because I am traveling I missed 2 out the first 4 webinars. I record them using Garage Band (on my Apple). No 1 impressed me very much. Having missed the 2 others, I listen to No 4.
Both webinars covers lots of subjects, some I find relevant, some excellent and some less relevant to me. However there is more than I need in each of the 2 I listen to.
So overall very much worth it. Very educational. Packed with info and tips. And most important = energizing.
    Kind regards

  • Why do I feel it was a great decision to join the League of Extraordinary Minds? Well, joining wasn’t a decision at all, really. Faced with this unique opportunity, you don’t have to
decide anything. If you can make time for it, you grab it. In any other circumstances, it would
be called a no-brainer. However, that description’s hardly appropriate in a situation where your own brain is being inspired and instructed by those of some of the business world’s most accomplished thought leaders.

As for benefits: coincidentally, I’ve just finished reading The E-Myth again, and I’ve never actually heard Michael Gerber speak before; so it was a special pleasure to listen to him on the panel.
Of course, the insights came thick and fast from all concerned, but I found the overall feeling of idealism inspiring.

It’s refreshing and rare to hear questions like “Why are we here?”; “How can we improve?”; “How can we transform the world?” and, of course, even “What is the meaning of life?” being addressed at a business gathering.

There were also the reminders of the systems approach: the concept of the business as the entrepreneur’s intricately and lovingly constructed invention. Something to be worked on, rather
than in; something which, when mature, could be let loose to fend for itself; not something which the entrepreneur builds himself into.

Which approach leads on to the reinforcement of another valuable concept: the emphasis on work as a joyous expression of life, not something tyrannical to which life has to be subservient. Work should be an activity which enriches life, not one which merely interrupts it.

It’s impossible for me to put a monetary value on lessons learned from the League in terms of additional income over the next 12 months, because I’m still deciding where I’m going to take my business during that time. Any one of the ideas we take away from this series could make a huge finacial difference.
I’m unlikely to be hiring anyone in the near future, but as Michael Gerber has shown, the principles of building the basic organisational structure of a business hold true even when you’re on your own. And my planning and implementation will be informed by the advice and guidance I’m receiving, so I know that the successful development of my business will be much surer and easier thanks to the League.

So, what would I say to a friend who was thinking of joining the League of Extraordinary Minds?
I would ask, what’s to think about? Considering who has set it up, considering who is involved – if you’ve got any business ambition at all, don’t miss a chance like this!

  • Brandon S. Langowski, MBA says:

This one didn’t grab me. The previous ones were clear, and readily understandable, and BRILLIANT. This panel was cryptic, and did not hold my attention. I tried pausing it and listening to it again, same thing. I didn’t finish the panel, and I don’t think I will. Does anyone else agree? Some of the points I did agree with, was most companies don’t hire the right people, and many times nobody is on the same page i.e. mission statement or following an accurate job description. I think the days of having motivated workers, who want to come to their job and give it their best have become rare. It’s usually fake, when I see it, they pretend at all the right moments, when the camera is there i.e. higher ups. I know I always gave me best at my job, but rarely did I see the motivation and determination of my co-workers to truly excel from a deeper level when the cameras weren’t there i.e. higher ups. Most managers are not leaders, nor are they even what a manager should be. Most don’t have the first clue how to treat people unless they look at them as a way to get a head, such as a higher up or playing politics, then they act like they are in the presence of company royalty. So yeah, I agree, having the right people for the right job is critical and maybe 5% of companies out there have this right because almost everybody’s own personal ego gets in the way, especially when they have the power. The people they respond and love are the sycophants, suck ups and fakes. These people are always promoted over those with talent and ability, who don’t play the GAME. Sorry this sounds bitter, but as you learn in this series emotions matter, perception is reality. I wish my perception was not such a strong reality, but alas, I know everyone knows what I am talking about. I found it interesting one panel member said that only A player would be able to produce a good personal reference from their previous managers. Do you really believe that? Do you know how this GAME works? When you look at the very real picture, do you think your statement is accurate? I know for in fact, many talented and smart people are treated like C players, when they are actually A players. Management won’t acknowledge it, so they don’t have to pay them more or give them any kind of confidence, so they can keep them and not lose them. It’s a GAME. They don’t want talent to know they are talent, that’s how they keep them. Then vice verse the true C players are treated like royalty, and they are A players. Because the management loves those people who make them feel good about their bad decisions, day in and day out. Again, this goes back to have the wrong people in the wrong positions, people seem to think just because you have a title, it means you are what it is. Nothing could be further from the truth. Most manager play favorites and promote and sing the praises of those who make horrible business decisions, that ruins morale, kills the bottom line, customer base, and makes true A players leave, hoping the next job will provide relief. I just found this panel to be out of touch with the people at the bottom, as they have been in their ivory towers to long and forgot how horrible those in power can be to those below them. True talent is squashed when it is seen as threat to their power, and you’ll never know who those people are, because they outed before their talents and gifts could shine. If you are reading this, remember what I said, and watched out these people, because they will ruin your business, and they are numerous. Have systems in place to prevent this from happening and losing valuable talent that will make your business grow and prosper.

  • I am becoming more comfortable with these amazing business minds and it’s like getting paper chase training from people with real world experience in my own office.
I’m in a grassroots bootstrap start up position with several business models that I’m building. These panels are so flexible and have some many variables and dynamics flowing in these, hour to two hour segments and yet at the same time they bring my thoughts towards focused energy, which is the most crucial commodity in my arsenal of tools. Because focus, strong focus delivers time and time is one of the excuses that some who are considering this offer may use to not commit to this and other educational opportunities, sighting that there is not enough time to sit down for hours and listen to other people working towards similar goals as theirs. I am finding that these panel sessions are the number one strategic time deliverer in my schedule due to the awesome tools of focus that we are experiencing. Thank you so much Jay, Rich for listening in close to the universal wisdom that obviously came to you guys causing you to pit this project together. ——————– Keith Russell Enterprises

  • Joan says:

Thank you for this. There were so many takeaways, but one that really resonated with me is the entrepreneur needs the vision and capacity to think beyond where they are today. Other key points – look to the big picture, the values we live by, focus and to take action.

  • Catherine says:

No one business or person has all the answers. Each week I’m appreciating not only the valuable details & action steps to take in my business – but also the extraordinary synthesis of something greater than the sum of the parts that emerges. The panels you’ve assembled are so rich with differing experiences & perspectives that anyone, no matter how big or small their business, can immediately implement action plans in multiple facets of their business now – balanced by, as emphasized in tonight’s call – strategic focus. Getting better at saying “no” to the things that aren’t in best alignment with your highest purpose & mission – both personally AND for the business. Businesses that focus on making life better for OTHERS first are the ones that set the stage for greatest growth & world transformation. Glad to be on board.

  • Joe says:

This was a great insight to the characteristics of the entrepreneur as he and his company grows. The importance of defining the focus and purpose of the business and building a team of people that understand the focus and purpose were emphasized. It seems simple, now that the experts have explained, that the values and goals of the entrepreneur and the people hired are congruent. Egos are parked at the door in order that the business may be examined and adjustments made in a timely manner. Great stuff!

This panel of experts all understand the Law of the Universe and are very successful and are passing on some very good nuggets.

Well….. where do i begin. God bless you all for giving up your knowledge, love for peoples & growth of businesses not only wealth, passion of what you know works in your businesses & sharing it, love of writing books, time and expertise to share with the world for this I thank you. I am so sorry due to work, timing and being a personal procrastinator, for one reason or another, that i missed the first three sessions. I came back from a community event feeling motivated but also worried that i might not be able to log into this session of extraordinary minds. When i was able to log in I listen for two and half hrs until 02.04hrs the panel had me hooked.

I came to a realization/wake up call. The vision, I have from a teenage for people and passion for caring, designing, helping others to develope in small things, the time i spend dreaming is ok i am a natural enterpreneur, in other words, how I think and dream your panel says its normal. The advice on planning, action and helping others to grow is like a chain as you move up,you allow others too grow as well. This I realized cannot, only work in business but in educating the community, through education, communication, showing you care about them, reading, listening to what they want to achieve and how to help them; taking actions for others working with you, can lead to success or failure if the vision, mission statement, aims do not change as we grows. management:- seeking professional help rather then re-inventing the wheel is time saved. I suppose it made me realize, again, what is missing in my life/line of work, is contentment of mind. Summary:- do the best for everyone, not just self, sometimes what is said is not always negative and can lead to positivity in the work force if action is taken straight away. Extraordinary minds, Rich and Jay you have helped me to grow tonight. I am motivated again. Hope to meet some of you one day your visions will help the charities, communities, organisations that i volunteer on and my personal growth worth more than platium in the next year or so. I passed this link on before i even listen tonight. I would say if your in business, thinking of starting one, listen to the future in advance, invest in knowlege and be motivated by all the motivational speakers out their. night night. I have been somewhat stagnant for a couple of months now. And when this opportunity came along I jumped at it, and then went back into my stasis and didn’t make the effort to actually listen to the Panel, though I kept saying I would. In the last few weeks I have started making changes in my life, clearing blocks and working towards the creation of the vision I have inside. Thank you Rich Shefren for that message which was a wake up call… I really can’t explain what I have been doing that has stopped me from listening to the last three panels. I am SO glad I listened tonight! What an extraordinary line up of people. It was precisely what I needed to hear… the comments about what is really important being aligned with your mission and adding value to or working at changing other people’s lives. Exactly what I needed to hear. A few months ago I created a plan of action but I have been procrastinating, making excuses… and above all allowing fear to stop me. Today, I heard from an extraordinary group of people who demonstrated that fearlessness is not the absence of fear, but the prioritising of one’s visions and goals through action. It is far worse to be stagnant, than to fall flat on my face as I pursue my vision. In the next twelve months I am planning to launch my first project. I look forward to sending an invite to The League of Extraodinary Minds. To my friends, I intend to give the ones who need it… a similar wake up call to the one I received from Rich Shefren. Thank you. (sorry it’s long winded… I have lots and lots to say!)
